Abscope completes radioactive soil excavation 01/06/10
Abscope recently completed a challenging excavation involving the handling of 2,200 CYs of radioactive soils. The affected soils were situated around 2 concrete vault like structures that required decommissioning. Abscope's directive was to expose the vaults, while protecting the adjacent occupied buildings and underground utilities. The project was performed in eastern NY for the federal government.
