MGP Sediment Remediation

General Location: New York

Abscope was hired to excavate approximately 1,000 cubic yards of MGP-containing sediments from the New York State Barge Canal.

 

Abscope’s responsibilities:

• Constructed an upland dewatering pad/system
• Dammed of the canal to allow for “dry” excavation
• Installed approximately 16,000 square feet of rock fall netting along the 40’ cliff wall located adjacent to the canal
