Lackawanna Rock Berm

General Location: Lackawanna, N.Y.

Abscope was contracted to install a Wave Break Berm to protect renewable energy production facilities (wind turbines) from storm surge off Lake Erie. Abscope completed this project safely, ahead of schedule, and within budget despite the challenge of rapidly changing and extreme weather conditions.

Abscope’s responsibilities:

Constructed 2,500 FT long and 8 FT high Wave Break Berm
Graded existing ground surface
Installed 450 rebar pins, and pumping 350 CY of concrete grout
Constructed access road improvements
