CKD Landfill Closure

General Location: New York

Abscope was a member of a project team that that was in involved in the first application of the use of ClosureTurf® in New York State. As the prime civil contractor for the 50-acre landfill closure.

Abscope’s responsibilities:

Relocated over 200,000 CY of CKD into an on-site landfill
Prepared the surface for installation of the liner system
Stripped 70,000 CY of topsoil prior to relocating the CKD
Installed 5,000 LF of silt fence
Constructed 2,400 LF of access roads
Constructed a new 7.5 AC landfill cell and prepping for the new liner system
