Projects

Abscope was contracted to provide comprehensive civil improvements for the repowering of a wind farm in the Midwest region, working in close coordination with the trucking contractor responsible for delivering all wind turbine components. The project included restoring 104 crane pads, excavating approximately 14,200 linear feet of drainage ditching, and overlaying and compacting 39,700 tons of new aggregate material—including geotextile fabric—on existing access roads. Abscope also installed 6,000 linear feet of erosion and sediment control measures, hydroseeded more than 11 acres, and constructed two laydown yards totaling 7.5 acres. Additional scope included improving and widening turning radii at site entrances, grading 126 acres of refurbished access roadways, and performing grout repairs at the bases of 88 wind turbines to support the successful completion of the wind farm repowering effort.
