M&T Building Interior Demolition & Abatement

General Location: Syracuse, NY

This project transpired over an eight (8) month period and saw many challenges, changes in scope and unforeseen situations as work progressed. Personnel shortages were a potential threat due to continued Covid issues but through the commitment of our crews, a constant workflow was maintained at all times. The project was completed on time and to the satisfaction of the Owner.

Project Scope:

Demolished 80,000 sf of building materials including drop ceilings, plaster ceilings, sheet rock and speed tile walls and removal of all debris from building.
Abated and Demolition of four (4) air handling units on three (3) floors of building.
Abated of 42,000 set of spray-on fire proofing and 5,000 lf of pipe insulation as well as 8,000 lf of VAT and mastic.
Demolished all mechanicals including duct, electrical and pipe work in floors 3 thru 10 and the 11^th floor mechanical area.
Completed demolition of large chase area containing steam pipes and live natural gas system that couldn’t be damaged.
Collected and disposed of all lighting lamps, and lead paint removal from select beams for structural welding to be performed.
